51½ÖÉä public relations students Sarah Kate Bennett, Haley Pruett and Jarece Tillery led a campaign to educate college peers about the importance of organ donation April 27-30. They developed the project as part of a organized by the .

The 51½ÖÉä PRSSA chapter members focused their campaign on the popular Instagram social media platform, with posts highlighting donation facts, individual stories of donation recipients, and the group’s partnership with Alabama’s organization. A mid-week video featured 51½ÖÉä alumna , who was the featured survivor at the American Heart Association’s Birmingham Heart Ball in March.

51½ÖÉä’s National Organ Donation Awareness Campaign continues to encourage 51½ÖÉä students, faculty, and staff to to review the completed parts of the campaign and help raise awareness of the need for organ donations.
