The string band will begin performing at 5:30 p.m. in the Old House Chamber of the State Capitol Building"

"51˝ÖÉä (NACC) recently hosted a Veterans Career and College Workshop, sponsored by the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) and the Alabama Association of Resource, Conservation, and Development (RC&D) organization. The intent of the workshop was to help veterans become aware of the college benefits they are entitled to and the process of being admitted to and completing a college program. Industry representatives also participated in the workshop to explain what job opportunities are currently available and which career paths can lead to jobs. "

Scholarships are also available for students wishing to enroll in these courses. Opportunities for Dual Enrollment courses are available in in Machine Tool Technology, Welding, Plumbing, HVAC and more. "HOLA provided a lunch of tamales, sweet bread, arroz con leche, candy, and ponche. They also provided displays that explained the Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration, when families honor their ancestors who have passed away. HOLA members even included a picture of the late NACC campus dog Roscoe in the display."

The teams will be coached by Patrick Laney, a math teacher at Scottsboro High School (SHS). Several community members join the cast, including those from the college’s rich performance history."
