Jillian Miles Massey,ÌýBSBA HR Management; MBA; SHRM-CP; CCSP

Jillian Miles Massey is a Talent Management Consultant with experience in higher education, industry, and not-for-profit volunteer leadership. Jillian started her career in recruitment & selection and training & development internships for Fortune 500 companies Sherwin-Williams and The Walt Disney Company. As a faculty member at Auburn University, she designed, taught, and facilitated university courses and career development programs in the fields of management, human resources, entrepreneurship, and organizational development. Now, she and the team at Horizon Point support organizations with HR and talent development consulting services.

Jillian values community involvement and serves as an active volunteer leader and member of professional and civic organizations, including the Alabama Society for Human Resource Management (ALSHRM), Association for Talent Development (ATD), National Career Development Association (NCDA), and Leadership Greater Huntsville.

Jillian is a twice graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s in HR Management and an MBA. She is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), and a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP). Jillian also holds an Instructional Design Certificate from the Association for Talent Development.

Brock Phillips, Esq.

Labor & Employment Attorney at Maynard Nexsen in Birmingham, AL

Brock assists clients throughout various industries with a broad range of labor and employment matters, including cases arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Section 1981, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the National Labor Relations Act, and whistleblower statutes, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Brock also represents clients before several administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Mining Safety and Health Administration. He offers consultation to employers on a wide range of issues and assists with drafting or updating employment handbooks and policies. Brock has briefed and argued cases in federal and state courts throughout the country at both the trial and appellate level.

Brock is a native of Scottsboro, AL. After graduating from Scottsboro High School he attended Auburn University, where he obtained a B.A. in 2015. He then received his J.D. in 2018 from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the Managing Board of the Journal of Law & Politics. He also worked with the school’s Appellate Litigation Clinic and was a quarterfinalist in the William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition.

Joel Batiz

Mr. Batiz has been with OSHS since 2016, serving as Safety Engineer at the Atlanta East Area Office. Mr. Batiz then service as Assistant Area Director for the Forth Worth Area office. Mr. Batiz then became the Area Director for the Birmingham Area Office.

Amy Mast,ÌýDirector of Corporate Growth, GiANT

Amy is a seasoned professional serving as the Director of Corporate Growth at GiANT. With a deep commitment to foster clarity and collaboration, Amy is dedicated to empowering and certifying leaders to build thriving and high-performing teams that exceed individual capabilities.

With a rich background spanning over 20 years in athletics, Amy has honed her expertise in integrating athletic culture with leadership development. Amy leverages GiANT's visual tools and online systems to facilitate self-awareness that elevates impact and communication within teams.

In her role within GiANT, Amy works closely with the certification team, striving daily to elevate the connectivity of the certifications that GiANT offers to everyone seeking mastery in the areas of self awareness and emotional intelligence.

Beyond her professional achievements, Amy enjoys a fulfilling personal life as a wife and mother to four very energetic boys. She finds joy in all physical outdoor activities with her friends and family.
