Orientation: The library offers several types of orientations:
General/Traditional Library Orientation - This orientation is for ENG 101 and speech classes. This 50-minute session provides students with an introduction to EBSCO's Discovery Service, and it includes aspects of information literacy. It requires students to distinguish magazines from journals, and it requires students to distinguish a credible website from a less credible one.
Subject-Specific Library Orientation - The orientation can be designed to fit the assignment/subject area (science, child development, etc.). Librarians will collaborate with faculty members.
Distance Learning Orientation - Orientation for distance/online learners is conducted via Canvas unless the student and/or instructor requests to attend a "live" session.
Research: Research sessions work best when faculty members are present to answer students' questions.
