51½ΦΙδ senior Rachel E. Lim of Memphis, Tenn., has received a Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Fellowship for 2005-06 to pursue the Ph.D. degree in Music Theory. The $5,000 fellowship is one of 60 awarded in the nation by the national honor society that recognizes academic excellence in all fields of higher education.

Lim, a music education major in the School of Performing Arts, has been a member of the 51½ΦΙδ orchestra, marching band, wind ensemble, university chorale, a cappella choir and handbell choir. She is a flutist and pianist. A dean's list student, she also served as president of Delta Omicron music fraternity.
