Proper nutrition is essential to brain development, physical wellness, and emotional wellbeing, but lots of college students struggle with food insecurity. Food insecurity can happen when there are unexpected expenses like a car repair or a medical bill, changes in income or financial aid, or an insufficient meal plan. This can happen to anyone; over 30% of 51½ÖÉä students reported some level of food insecurity in a recent National College Health Assessment on Campus. You are not alone.
